Start from an accepted Trade Proposal
A pending proposal cannot start a Trade Journey. Once the proposal is accepted, either participant can open the Journey for that agreed trade.
Trade Journey keeps the agreed Pokemon, trade mode, Friendship progress, Remote Trade planning, reminders, readiness, notes, and completion context together after a Trade Proposal is accepted.
PogoTrades coordinates the plan. Pokemon GO itself determines actual trade eligibility, restrictions, and limits.

From agreement to completion
Smart Matches and messaging help trainers find and discuss a trade. A Trade Proposal records the agreement. Trade Journey takes over after that proposal is accepted and helps both participants track what still has to happen.
A pending proposal cannot start a Trade Journey. Once the proposal is accepted, either participant can open the Journey for that agreed trade.
Keep the mode undecided, choose an in-person trade, or choose Remote so the Journey can enforce the relevant progress requirement before readiness.
Record Friendship Points, the date you became friends, standard daily interactions, Weekly Challenge bonus points, and shared trade notes.
Each trainer can separately opt into a daily email reminder while the active Journey still has Friendship progress remaining.
For Remote trades, readiness stays locked until the selected Friendship Point target is complete. PogoTrades records each trainer's ready state separately.
After the in-game exchange, both trainers confirm completion from the proposal. The completed Trade Journey remains readable as a record and becomes read-only.
Remote Trade progress
When a Journey is set to Remote, trainers choose the progress track that matches where their friendship already stands.
Track Friendship progression toward Forever Friends at 180 Friendship Points.
Start a fresh 90-point progress track for another Remote Trade.
Friendship milestones
Trade Journey estimates progress using one Friendship Point per day. Weekly Challenges can make the target arrive sooner.
Progress logging
Either participant can log the day\'s normal Friendship interaction, but PogoTrades counts that source only once per Trade Journey per day. Weekly Challenge points are a separate bonus source.
Adds +1 once for that Journey on that date.
Record bonus Friendship Points separately when applicable.
Keep the friendship start date alongside the plan.
Record context such as waiting for Lucky Friends, saving Stardust, or meetup details.
See recent logged interactions and who recorded them.
Each trainer controls their own reminder preference independently.
A Remote Journey cannot be marked ready while its selected Friendship Point target is incomplete.
Each participant marks their own state. When both are ready, PogoTrades records the conversation as ready and announces it in chat.
After the actual Pokemon GO trade, both trainers confirm completion. The Journey then remains available as a read-only record.
Trade Journey FAQ

For a first Remote Trade together, the Friendship track targets 180 Friendship Points and Forever Friends. For trainers already at Forever Friends, the repeat Remote Trade track targets the next 90 Friendship Points.
No. Trade Journey records planning and progress. Pokemon GO itself determines actual Remote Trade eligibility, availability, restrictions, and limits.
No. A normal daily interaction is counted only once per Trade Journey per day. Weekly Challenge bonus points can also be recorded separately.
Both trainers can mark readiness only after a trade mode has been selected. For Remote mode, the active Friendship Point target must also be complete before readiness is allowed.
No. Reminder preference is private to each participant. One trainer can enable a daily email reminder without changing the other trainer's preference.
PogoTrades marks the conversation ready and records that both trainers are ready to complete the trade. The actual trade still happens in Pokemon GO, after which each trainer confirms completion from the proposal.
Yes. Completed Trade Journeys remain readable as a record of the trade and Friendship progress, but they cannot be edited after completion.
PogoTrades helps two trainers keep an agreed trade organized. Pokemon GO still controls whether the trade is eligible and the exchange itself still happens in the game.
